Mason Greenwood might be on his way to Al-Ettifa, the team captained by Steven Gerrard, as the Saudi Arabian team considers an offer for the Manchester United forward.

Greenwood is expected to leave Premier League club Man United after an internal investigation into his conduct, which was conducted after attempted rape charges against him were dropped in February, according to a statement released by the club on Monday.

According to The Sun, Greenwood is currently looking for a new club and may be given a fresh start by Al-Ettifaq.

Al-Ettifaq, who have won their first two league games this year, are thinking about giving the 21-year-old England international a contract worth £10 million annually.

This would represent a substantial increase over his current contract with Man United, which pays him £75,000 per week, or about £4 million annually.

Should Greenwood move to Al-Ettifaq, he would join up with Gerrard, who was appointed the club’s new head coach last month.
