On the other hand, Thiago drew a lot of attention on social media after dominating the midfield for Liverpool against Manchester United.

The midfielder received a standing ovation from the Anfield crowd when he was substituted for James Milner towards the end of the 90 minutes.

And Owen, a former Liverpool and Manchester United attacker, tweeted his admiration for Thiago.
