Gambo Mohammed has been appointed as an assistant coach with the Kano Pillars of the Nigeria Professional Football League.
Mohammed will serve as a direct assistant to the newly appointed head coach, Abdulahi Maikaba.
The former Kano Pillars striker was part of coach Evans Ogenyi’s coaching staff that secured a promotion ticket in Asaba.
Mohammed played a crucial role in Sai Masu Gida’s NPFL title wins in 2013 and 2014.
His experience will be crucial for the Kano Pillars during the 2023–24 NPFL season as they bid to maintain their status as an elite club.
The former forward also played for Katsina United during his active days.
