Erik ten Hag, the new manager of Manchester United, has stated that leaving Ajax after more than five years will be difficult.
This was remarked by Ten Hag in response to his selection as Manchester United's new manager.
The Dutchman, who will take over as Manchester United manager at the end of the season, will stay at Old Trafford until June 2025, with the option of extending for another year.
According to Manchester United's official website, Ten Hag said, "It's a wonderful honour to be appointed manager of Manchester United, and I am hugely delighted by the job ahead."
I know the history of this great club and the passion of the fans, and I am absolutely determined to develop a team capable of delivering the success they deserve.
“It will be difficult to leave Ajax after these incredible years, and I can assure our fans of my complete commitment and focus on bringing this season to a successful conclusion before I move to Manchester United.”
Ten Hag will leave Ajax at the end of the season.
