The Cameroon and Internazionale Goalkeeper Andre Onana has announced his retirement from international football at the age of 26.
It is important to note that Onana was left out of the Cameroon squad for his country’s second game of the World Cup after having a disagreement with manager Rigobert Song over tactics.
Reports have it that, Song wanted Onana to be playing like a traditional goalkeeper rather than being a sweeper, a decision that wasn't okay with the goalkeeper and this led the Cameroon Football Association president, Samuel Etoo to order his removal from the squad.
