Napoli captain, Giovanni Di Lorenzo believes Victor Osimhen can help the Serie A champions beat Real Madrid.

The Partenopei will host Carlo Ancelotti’s men in a UEFA Champions League clash at the Estadio Diego Armando Maradona on Tuesday night.

Osimhen has been in the news for the past few days.

The Nigerian striker had complained to Napoli coach Garcia after being subbed off against Bologna before his agent threatened the club he’d take legal action due to TikTok videos published and then removed by the Partenopei.

The 24-year-old was named among the substitutes in Napoli’s 4-0 win against Udinese last weekend and scored early in the second half after replacing Giovanni Simeone.

Di Lorenzo stated that they will be backing Osimhen for victory against the Los Blancos.

“Nothing has changed for us. His relationships inside the dressing room, his behavior, and his desire to give the best for this team have not changed,” claimed Di Lorenzo in his pre-match press conference.

“He is always available for his teammates, as you saw in the game [against Lecce]. To us, he is the same Osimhen. A great player who gives his best and will continue doing the same tomorrow.”’
