Mauricio Pochettino, the manager of Chelsea, has opened up about the match that made him fear for his job.
The pivotal moment came during a 4-2 home defeat to Wolves back in February.
This loss dropped the Blues into the bottom half of the Premier League table, putting Pochettino's position under scrutiny.
When asked if there had ever been a moment he believed he was about to be sacked, Pochettino replied: “I can be honest. I think after Wolves. Remember what happened after, also?
“I didn’t think we were going to be sacked, but it was a tough moment. That defeat at home was really tough, really tough.
“At this moment, as a coach and staff, you feel loneliness. When you feel like everyone is seeing you as if you’re guilty of something and you don’t know what’s going on.”
Despite this setback, Chelsea has recently found their form, winning their last four matches. This impressive run has propelled them to sixth place in the Premier League standings as they approach the final day of the season.
