The renowned Kanye West song "Power" will no longer be used as the walk-on music for Premier League team Bournemouth.

Teams in the top division of English football are renowned for playing well-known songs as they enter or leave stadiums.

The team's theme song, "Power," has been used by Bournemouth since 2020, and they are not an exception.

But this is about to change, as The Mirror reports that the club wants to cut ties with Kanye, who is now known by the name Ye.

Following Ye's controversial and divisive tweet, which offended millions of people, this has happened.

He wrote in a tweet:

"I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE. The funny thing is I actually can’t be Anti Semitic because black people are actually Jew also You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda."

This single tweet has seen the rapper lose billions in endorsements as brands continue to dissociate from him.

Bournemouth, as TMZ reports, are also set to follow suit by shelving the song "Power," which was first used by the club when they were relegated from the Premier League in 2020.

Concerns have reportedly been raised about the usage of the song, released in 2010, after Ye’s recent tweet.

Starting from their weekend game against Tottenham, Bournemouth will no longer be using the song.
