Odion Ighalo moved ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo on the top scorers’ chart in the Saudi Arabia Professional League after netting in Al Hilal’s 2-0 win against Al Khaleej on Saturday night.
Ighalo has now scored 14 goals and recorded two assists in 17 league appearances for the Lions this season.
The 33-year-old is second on the top scorers’ chart behind Morocco forward Abderrazzaq Hamed Allah, who has scored 15 times.
Ronaldo has registered nine goals for Al Nassr.
Ighalo won the golden boot last season with 24 goals.
His goals played a key role in Al Hilal winning the league last season.
