The nominees for the Nigeria Premier Football League Player of the Month award for March have been revealed, showcasing outstanding talent from across the league.

Among the shortlisted players are Clinton Jephta from Niger Tornadoes, Deputy Echeta representing Rivers United, and Junior Lokosa of Sporting Lagos.

Also making the list are Michael Ibe from Katsina United, Sikiru Alimi from Remo Stars, and Ubong Friday from Akwa United. Veteran forward Ubong Friday particularly stood out with an impressive five goals for Akwa United, including a memorable hat-trick and a brace earlier in the month.

Sikiru Alimi's return to form saw him netting three crucial goals for Remo Stars, solidifying his position as one of the league's top scorers with 14 goals. Meanwhile, Deputy Echeta's three goals for Rivers United played a pivotal role in the team's success throughout the month.

Clinton Jephta's seamless transition to Niger Tornadoes from FC One Rocket has been noteworthy, with the player contributing four goals to his team's performance in April. Additionally, both Michael Ibe of Katsina United and Junior Lokosa of Sporting Lagos have earned their places on the list with three goals each during the month.

This announcement follows last month's recognition of Akwa United forward Sani Suleiman as the Player of the Month. Stay tuned as the winner of this prestigious award will be announced later in the week.
