Dominik Szoboszlai, a midfielder for Liverpool, predicted that Jurgen Klopp's team would finish ahead of Manchester City in the Premier League standings this year.

English football has been dominated by Man City for the past six years.

Although Liverpool won the league in the 2019–20 season, Pep Guardiola's team has won five league titles overall, including the last three.

With the exception of last season, when they finished without a trophy and in fifth place in the league standing, Liverpool has consistently competed with Manchester City in recent years.

But Szoboszlai, who joined the Reds this summer, is confident Liverpool will be able to challenge Manchester City again.

When asked which team will finish above Manchester City this season, the Hungarian midfielder replied (via LFC Transfer Room): “Us... It is not a joke; I am thinking about it.

“I always think that way, even if it is hard.”
