Manchester United confirmed on Friday that 21-year-old right-back Ethan Laird has left the club to join Birmingham City on a permanent transfer.
Manchester United disclosed this in a statement via its website.
“Ethan Laird has moved to Birmingham City on a permanent transfer,” the statement read in part.
“All at United would like to pass on our sincere best wishes to Ethan, and we will be tracking his progress at his new club after successfully coming through our Academy and always being a popular figure at Carrington.”
Meanwhile, in a related development, Arsenal defender Pablo Mari also left Emirates to join AC Monza on a permanent transfer on Friday.
“Pablo Mari has joined AC Monza on a permanent transfer,” Arsenal’s statement read.
“We thank Pablo for his contribution to the club and wish him and his family the best of health and happiness in their new chapter.”
Mari, 29, initially joined Arsenal on loan in January 2020 from Flamengo before joining permanently six months later.
