Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag wants to bolster his defense this summer, despite failing to offload Harry Magure.

United had targeted Bayern Munich’s Benjamin Pavard when it seemed Maguire would join the Hammers. But the Frenchman is now set to sign for Inter Milan instead.

That has forced Ten Hag to consider other options, and Todibo is now said to be close to completing a move to Old Trafford.

Todibo’s mix of physicality, speed, and ball-playing ability has attracted Ten Hag, and a deal worth £34.1 million is in the offing, taking United’s summer spending to £200 million.
