Barcelona isn't counting on Oscar Mingueza, and the club is looking for a way out this summer.
Valencia and Hoffenheim are both interested in the player, according to 'Mundo Deportivo.'
Oscar Mingueza has been far below the standard necessary at Barcelona in the 21-22 season, despite making his debut in the 20-21 season under Ronald Koeman and securing a regular spot in the starting eleven. Xavi Hernandez isn't counting on him to head a defense that includes Eric Garcia, Araujo, and others.
Because he has a contract until 2023, the plan is to find a spot for the centre-back this summer. If a move is not made, the player may be able to leave for free at the end of the season.
The option of Getafe and even Wolves – with the aim of making the possible arrival of Ruben Neves cheaper – appeared, but "Mundo Deportivo" assured that both Valencia and Hoffenheim are also interested in Mingueza, who can play as a centre-back and right-back.
With his entire career still ahead of him—he is 23 years old—the defender could end his time at 'Can Barça’ after 66 first-team appearances, in which he has scored two goals and provided five assists.
