Chelsea football club lost the Carabao cup to Manchester City on Sunday night after penalty shoot out.
Chelsea and Manchester City played goalless after 90mins and extra time of the cup final, and they were left to play penalty shoot out.
Chelsea's number one goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga was the highlight of the day because of his refusal to be substituted. Kepa was attended to by the Chelsea medic team before the penalty shoot out after he complained to the coach.
After the complaint and him been attended to by the medic, coach Sarri felt it's best he replaced him with Caballero, to avoid casualties during the penalty shootout but Kepa refused to go out and this led to delay of the game for about 4mins. Sarri, the head coach was pissed at his attitude to remain on the pitch after the electronic substitution board has been held up for his removal.
Manchester City won the game through penalty shootout and Kepa remained as the keeper for the game. Although he had few saves but this didn't stop city from winning. After the game coach Sarri explained that the on field drama was a misunderstanding between him and the Keeper, he thought Kepa had cramps and that was why he tried substituting him, Kepa as well agreed it was also misunderstanding and unintentional he refused to go out.
