Wright-Phillips warns Potter about Chelsea star who’ll cause problems after Tuchel’s sack
Shaun Wright-Phillips, a former Chelsea player, has warned the team's new coach Graham Potter that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is a "maverick" and could cause issues at Stamford Bridge in the wake of Thomas Tuchel's dismissal.
Aubameyang and Tuchel were coworkers at Dortmund, and this summer, they agreed to a two-year contract with Chelsea that includes an additional year's option.
Wright-Phillips thinks Aubameyang might experience some disruption as a result of Tuchel's departure, though.
"Well, I don't think Aubameyang will regret the move because he's tried to sign on for a massive club in Chelsea; great club, great fans; he's back in the Premier League; and he's playing Champions League football as well," Shaun Wright-Phillips said in an interview with Fair Betting Sites.
Therefore, I don't believe he will complain too much. If the new manager is going to be strict or will he be like, will he let him be a Maverick or not, which doesn't seem to work for Aubameyang, I think that may be the struggle or the thing that they both have to get used to.
He appears to enjoy engaging in activities that Aubameyang enjoys. I think the next manager that comes in, you cannot say you are leaning with him, but as long as he works hard for the team and he scores you those goals, you got to give him a little bit of yardage in a way, because it’s hard to change your character. ”
