Cases of malpractice and irregularities discovered during this year's West African Senior School Certificate Examinations, or WASSCE, will be discussed by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).
Tuesday, WAEC announced the news in a tweet from its X account.
"The 76th Meeting of the Nigeria Examinations Committee (NEC) to consider and decide on the malpractice and irregularity cases arising from the conduct of WASSCE for School Candidates, 2023," the examination organization tweeted.
Recall that 262,803 results from this year's WASSCE were initially scheduled to be released by WAEC in August, but that decision was ultimately made to delay it due to allegations of examination fraud.
In the meantime, Dr. Amos Dangut was just named the new Head of National Office (HNO) at WAEC.
Until Dangut’s appointment as the council’s head, he was the Deputy Registrar of the office of the HNO.
