Renowned Canadian stage actor Julian Arnold passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at the age of 60.

The actor tragically suffered a medical emergency while performing in A Christmas Carol at Edmonton’s Citadel Theatre.

According to CBC, Kerry Williamson, a spokesperson for Alberta Health Services, confirmed that Arnold passed away at the scene despite multiple resuscitation attempts.

In a heartfelt statement, Jessie van Rijn, Executive Director of the Citadel Theatre, and Daryl Cloran, Artistic Director, expressed their sorrow: “Julian brought joy, heart, and depth to every role he played. His artistic legacy will be profoundly missed.”

Julian Arnold's untimely death has left a void in Canada’s theatre community, where he was celebrated for his exceptional talent and dedication to the craft.
