The 7th Edition of Africa’s biggest music award in Diaspora sponsored by Majority is set to be a virtual affair due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, this is not going to stop AFRIMMA from flying the African cultural flag as we countdown to an epoch and history making event on November 15th, 2020.

2018 superhero movie, Black Panther has broken a record. Black panther was nominated for Oscar as the best picture category.

The movie which depicts an African setting of a country named Wakanda, footage of Nigeria was shown in the movie with the Black panther rescuing chibok girls kidnapped by Boko Haram.

Few days after defeating Nigerian musician, Burna Boy in the Grammy world music award category, Angelique Kidjo was filmed chatting animatedly with Burna Boy and his mother Bose Ogulu in Lagos.

In the video, Angelique, who beat Burna to win the Best World Music Album at the 62nd Grammy Awards, is seen excitedly talking while Burna and Mama Burna smiled and listened intently.


It is instructive to note that Kidjo has been making Burna Boy not to see himself as a loser at the award.
