Omowunmi Aloba, the widow of the late Nigerian music sensation Mohbad, has opened up about how she met her husband, sharing a touching love story that began over a decade ago.

In a recent interview with TVC, Omowunmi revealed that she met Mohbad 12 years ago on the once-popular social media platform 2Go, when they were both teenagers. At the time, she was just 13 years old, while Mohbad was 15.

Their connection started as a friendship, bonded by a shared passion for music—she was a rapper, and he was a singer. Over time, their friendship blossomed into a romantic relationship, eventually leading to marriage and the birth of their son, Liam.

Mohbad’s Tragic Passing & Controversy Surrounding His Burial

The Nigerian music star, Mohbad, tragically passed away on September 12, 2023. Less than 24 hours after his death, his father, Joseph Aloba, buried him in Ikorodu, Lagos State. However, due to widespread controversy and demands for justice, his body was exhumed on September 21 for an autopsy.

Awaiting Autopsy & DNA Test Results

To this day, the official autopsy report remains pending. Meanwhile, Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, has insisted that his son’s body will not be reburied until the autopsy results are released. Additionally, he has demanded a DNA test to confirm the paternity of his grandson, Liam.
