Big Brother Naija, or BBNaija, reality show star Tope Adebuniyan, better known as Teddy A, has questioned the organizers of the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, or AMVCA, over the nomination snub of Anikulapo lead actor Kunle Remi.

Recall that actor Kunle Afolayan’s 2022 movie, Anikulapo, received the highest number of nominations at the 2023 edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards.

Even though the movie was nominated in 15 different categories with 16 nominations, Anikulapo's lead actor Kunle Remi didn’t get one nomination.

Shading the organizers of the award ceremony for omitting Remi’s name despite his role in the movie, Teddy A in a post on social media queried if the lead actor’s snub was a result of an interview where he spilled some secrets.

He wrote, “Congrats to all the AMVCA nominees, but how didn’t Kunle Remi get any nominations after what we all saw in Anikulapo? Why did they omit @kunleremiofficial?

”Was it because of THAT interview?" "I'm just asking respectfully.”
