Nearly three weeks after being locked due to antisemitic posts and comments, Kanye Omari West, better known by his stage name Ye, the famous American singer and fashion designer, had his Twitter account unlocked.
The singer tweeted on Sunday night to confirm the news, writing: "Testing, testing, seeing if my Twitter is unblocked."
In response, Musk positively commented in Ye's comment section, "Don't kill what you hate, save what you love."
The former US president Donald Trump was suspended in January 2021, immediately following the Capitol riot, for violating the social media platform and for the possibility of further inciting violence. This occurred less than 24 hours after the new Twitter owner and CEO, Elon Musk, reinstated Trump.
Last month, Kanye West decided to buy the social network Parler, which has a libertarian bent.
The company made the announcement days after Kanye’s Instagram and Twitter accounts were temporarily locked for a spate of posts that were criticized for being anti-Semitic.
