Hollywood’s iconic power couple, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, have officially finalized their divorce, marking the end of their two-year marriage.
According to court documents submitted to the Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday, January 6, 2025, Lopez confirmed that she and Affleck had reached a settlement through mediation back in September 2024, just a month after filing for divorce.
The divorce will be finalized on February 20, 2025, when a judge approves the agreement. At that point, Lopez, 55, will legally drop ‘Affleck’ from her name.
Divorce Settlement Highlights
- Both stars will retain earnings from their individual business ventures and projects.
- No spousal support will be paid by either party.
- Despite the split, the pair have agreed to remain part of each other’s lives.
Timeline of Their Relationship and Split
Affleck, 52, and Lopez tied the knot in July 2022, after rekindling their romance nearly two decades after their initial engagement in the early 2000s. However, by August 2024, Lopez filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences and listing their official separation date as April 26, 2024.
