Ijeoma Otabor, a.
k.a. Phyna, the winner of Big Brother Naija's seventh season, has admitted that she is not proud of her past six months of fame.
This was said by the reality TV star as she begged Nigerians to pardon her for her frequent outbursts on social media.
In the social media video that is currently trending, Phyna expressed her regret for her hasty actions and blamed them on her upbringing and family history.
She claimed that her underprivileged upbringing had not adequately prepared her for the fame or wealth she had achieved six months prior.
Phyna acknowledged that she has made mistakes and pleaded with her fans to overlook them. She also said she has been a celebrity for six months.
“Hi everyone, It’s been six months now since I won the show Big Brother Naija season 7, and for the past six months, a lot has gone up and many things have happened, and I want to use this medium to say I’m really sorry if I have offended a lot of people for the past six months.
”I have gone through a lot of training on how to be now." Because I believe you should understand that someone with a background such as mine who gains fame and money all of a sudden will need time. So I have been here six months; the past six months are not a period that I will say I’m proud of.”
Phyna’s apologies came hours after another female housemate from South Africa, Khosi, won the Big Brother Titans reality show.
