In a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo, Nigerian singer Oritsefemi Majemite Ekele, popularly known as Oritsefemi, declared himself the godfather of prominent artists like Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Davido.
Oritsefemi claimed that he had already achieved financial success in the music industry before these artists became famous. He revealed that he encouraged and supported many young talents, including the aforementioned trio, in their early careers.
"I had already made money from the music industry when some people were still trying to make a name for themselves," Oritsefemi said. "I encouraged artists like Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Davido. I’m like their godfather."
Oritsefemi also mentioned that he provided shelter to several now-famous female celebrities in his Lekki mansion during their struggling days and even hosted Burna Boy.
