The battle advisor for John Legend's Team Legend in season 22 of NBC's The Voice has been named as Jazmine Sullivan.

The EGOT winner revealed who he chose to help him make difficult decisions in certain rounds on the Emmy-winning show's Instagram account, where the news was first made public.

Legend told E!'s Daily Pop in an interview that she was simply there to share her journey with the artists because so many of them looked up to her.

"With my story, it's just about perseverance," Sullivan continued. Just keep going, keep going. You never know when that moment is going to happen for you, but you have got to be true to yourself. You've got to keep doing your thing and know who you are, not change that. And then eventually, like you said, people will star to come to you.”

The Voice returns for season 22 on Monday, Sept. 19, at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.

Beyond the competition series, Legend and Sullivan have more together on the horizon. She’ll appear on his eighth studio album, LEGEND, which is released Sept. 9 via Republic Records. The song is entitled “Love.”

So far, Legend has shared four songs from his first album for Republic Records, including the Muni Long-assisted “Honey” and the latest “All She Wanna Do” featuring Saweetie. Other guest appearances for Legend include JID, Ledisi, The Free Nationals, Rick Ross, Ty Dolla $ign, Amber Mark, and many more.
