Ace music executive and CEO of Kennis Music, Kenny Ogungbe, has revealed that the record label took deliberate steps to curb 2Baba’s womanising tendencies during his time with them.
Speaking on The Honest Bunch podcast, Ogungbe, popularly known as Baba Keke, disclosed that the label went as far as restricting the iconic singer’s access to women who constantly sought his attention. However, once 2Baba left Kennis Music, they could no longer control his personal choices.
“When 2Baba was with us, we prevented him from seeing girls. They came looking for him all the time, but we didn’t allow it. After he left the record label, there was nothing we could do about it anymore,” Ogungbe shared.
He further addressed 2Baba’s publicized personal life, adding, “Even when comedians made jokes about him being a womaniser, I didn’t call to question him because he’s a matured man. Every man has his cross.”
During his prime, 2Baba frequently made headlines for fathering children with multiple women before marrying actress Annie Idibia in 2012. His story remains one of the most talked-about journeys in Nigerian music history.
