One of the children of the late Nigerian music icon Majek Fashek has confirmed that the late singer will be buried in New York, United States where he died.



Majek Fashek’s first child with his ex-wife Rita, made the announcement in a video shared on Monday August 10.

He thanked the musician’s fans and well-wishers for their love and support, and further revealed that they were forced to take the decision of burying the late reggae icon in New York due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Recall that Majek Fashek died on June 1, 2020 at the age of 57 while battling esophageal cancer.

During his peak career he was proudly known as the Rain maker, may his soul continue to rest in peace.
