Nigeria Broadcasting Cooperation (NBC) has banned popular Nigeria rappers Falz D Bad guy and Olamide's song, in addition is the ban of pop artist, Wande Coal's song. This is Nigeria by Falz, Iskaba by Wande Coal and See Mary, See Jesus by Olamide were all banned from radio and TV stations by NBC due to what they called vulgar and indescent lyrics.

A radio station in Jos was recently fined #100,000 for airing these songs after the ban. This is not the first time NBC will be placing a ban on popular Nigerian artists, Olamide is a regular on the list of NBC, it can be recalled that his hit titled "WO" was also banned.

Popular hip hop star, Folarin Falano, popularly known as Falz has been given 7 days ultimatum by the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) to pull down his video which he titled "this is Nigeria" from YouTube.

The video which has been creating many buzz on social media, is a spin off of "this is America" by Childish Gambino, it was recreated by Falz to point out some issues in Nigeria. As many are applauding the video with its creativity and precise way of addressing the current situation of Nigeria, other see it as a disrespect to certain religion. Hence, the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has frowned to the aspect of the video which features girl dancer with the Muslim "Ijab" wear dancing "Shaku Shaku" and they have given the artist 7 day ultimatum to remove the video and apology is widely published or be filed with law suit.

Falz had earlier explained that the girls dressed in hijab dancing the “shaku shaku” dance were a representation of the abducted Chibok girls still in Boko Haram captivity but the group doesn't reason it like he did, they claim “The video manifests ethnic bias against Fulanis while it ignored the criminal activities of ethnic militia of the Middle Belt who have also massacred Fulanis and rustled their cattle in their thousands."

The popular indigenous rapper and singer Olamide aka Baddo has officiallly announced yesterday on his Instagram page that an album will be released today 10/02/2020 the extended playlist is titled "999", the EP is made up of 9 tracks featuring 9 artists including Phyno, Jayboi, King Rhatti and will be released 9pm today.


It will be recalled that he hasn't released any album since 2017.
