Popular Nigerian comedian Ayodeji Makun, also known as AY, has admitted that the only possessions he had left with him were those he had taken on the trip prior to the house fire.

According to The Daily Post, a fire early this month completely destroyed the comedian's Lagos home.

AY wrote a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, in which he described how it feels to lose everything of value.

Sharing a video capturing the renovation of the house, he said: “It feels weird to realize that the only shoes, jewelry, and clothes I have right now are the ones I traveled with.
“There is no such thing as going back to square one.”
