Simi, a Nigerian singer, stated that despite his controversial nature, her colleague Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, deserves "flowers.
"
Remember how Portable gained notoriety when he was seen in a popular video defying police officers' attempts to arrest him? He was detained for three days after his arrest and was then charged with three counts of assault and theft of musical instruments in front of an Ogun State Magistrate Court in Ifo.
He was subsequently granted N800,000 bail, but the magistrate mandated that Portable remain in custody at the Ilaro detention facility until the completion of his bail requirements.
The Zazu crooner released a brand-new song after being freed called "Federal Government Liability." In the song, he boasted about not wearing a prison uniform while he was housed at the Ilaro correctional facility.
Reactions to his brand-new song were conflicting.
Simi praised Portable's tenacity, saying it merits praise.
She tweeted, “Gotta give Portable his flowers, lol.”
