Famous Nigerian musician and rapper, Divine Ikubor, professionally known by his stage name Rema, has become the 2022 artiste with the most viewed music video on YouTube.



The 22-year-old singer beat his senior colleagues, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, Daniel Oluwatobiloba Anidugbe, known as Kizz Daniel, and others to win the title.

A compiled list released on December 30 by renowned digital eco-system firm Dataleum and Data Intelligence, which analysed views from official music videos in 2022, disclosed that Rema’s hit music video "Calm Down" got 313 million views, while the remix featuring Selena Gomez got 204 million views.

Following closely were Burna Boy’s "Last Last," which garnered over 144 million views, and Kizz Daniel’s "Buga," with 110 million views.

Remy's “Calm Down” remix, which was influenced by Selena Gomez, is one of the biggest of 2022, surpassing 300 million views on YouTube in just 10 months.
