Renowned Zambian musician, Wesley Chibambo, popularly known as Dandy Krazy, tragically passed away in a road accident on New Year's Eve.
The 47-year-old artist succumbed to his injuries in the early hours of January 1, despite efforts to save him at the University Teaching Hospital in Lusaka.
The devastating crash took place in Kapiri Mposhi, where Dandy Krazy's vehicle collided with both a truck and another car. Three individuals lost their lives at the scene, and authorities are still investigating the full details of the incident.

In an emotional tribute, Dandy Krazy's daughter, Comfort Chibambo, reflected on the painful coincidence of his passing on the birthday of his third child, Shanice. βEven in death, we will always love you, Papa,β she shared.
Dandy Krazy was a trailblazer in Zambian music, known for his fusion of music and political commentary. His hit song Donchi Kubeba became a significant anthem for the Patriotic Front (PF) during Zambia's 2011 elections, helping propel the party to victory and ending the two-decade reign of the Movement for Multiparty Democracy. In recognition of his remarkable contributions, former President Michael Sata awarded him the Grand Commander of the Order of Freedom.
