Popular gospel singer Ebuka Songs has finally spoken out about his departure from Moses Bliss’ record label, Spotlite Nation, after just 11 months, despite signing a three-year contract.
Moses Bliss previously revealed in a December 2024 interview that Ebuka chose to leave the label to pursue his music independently. However, for the first time since his exit, Ebuka has shared his side of the story, explaining that his decision was driven by a deeper calling.
Speaking on the Open Up podcast, he expressed gratitude to Moses Bliss for his impact on his career, acknowledging that while he had the anointing and talent, he lacked professional direction before joining Spotlite Nation.
"I will always be grateful for Moses Bliss’ role in my life. At that time, I had the anointing and the gift, but I didn’t know how to navigate the music industry professionally," Ebuka shared.
He further explained that his departure was a necessary step to focus on his ministry.
“I am thankful for my journey so far, but the next level for me is to fully embrace my ministry. We are all in a good space. I chose to stay silent about my exit because I didn’t want to create unnecessary conversations. Sometimes, we reach a point where we must focus on the next phase of our lives, especially when there’s a divine assignment to fulfill,” he added.
Ebuka Songs’ revelation finally puts to rest speculations about his exit from Spotlite Nation, emphasizing his commitment to his calling.
