Wizkid, a Nigerian musician, apologized to his fans during the AfroNation Music Festival this year.
On the last day of the three-day music festival, Wizkid, Patoranking, Megan The Stallion, Shesee, King Promise, and Patrice Roberts were slated to play.
However, things took a turn for the worst when Wizkid failed to show up on time, forcing the other artists to postpone their performances in order to give him more time. AfroNation US apologized on their official Instagram page for Wizkid's lateness.
According to them, Wizkid was unable to board his scheduled aircraft, thus the closing hours have been extended to allow their headliner to play. They also uploaded a video of Wizkid apologizing to supporters and pledging to make it right.
Wizkid arrived at the festival grounds after a 5-hour delay and wasted no time mounting the platform. Big Wiz interrupted his act on stage to apologize to Puerto Ricans for making them stand for long periods of time. Following the apology, Wizkid performed all of his big songs to make Puerto Ricans forget about the hours they had waited for him and smile once more.
