In a shocking incident that has sent ripples through Maiduguri, Borno State, two friends - Kaka Ali Umar and Khadija Adam - were apprehended by the police for engaging in illicit activities at the All Denominations Church Police College in the state capital.
According to sources, the male and female culprits were caught in the act on Monday, 12/2/2024, at approximately 11:40 a.m. The arrest was reportedly facilitated by a security personnel attached to the church (whose name is currently withheld).
Reverend Danjuma Adamu, in charge of the church, reported the incident to the Police Investigation Team at the Metro Divisional Police Office. He stated that the two friends were discovered involved in inappropriate conduct right within the church premises.
It was further revealed that, following the act, Khadija disclosed to the Reverend that Kaka Ali had compensated her with N1,000 for a brief encounter.
A confidential security source involved in the ongoing investigation, though not authorized to speak to the press, disclosed that both suspects are currently undergoing scrutiny at the Metro police station. Subsequently, the case will be forwarded to the appropriate authorities for further investigation and potential prosecution.
