The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has revised its calendar and activity schedule for the general elections in 2023.
Following a thorough consideration of various issues and concerns, the PDP further adjusted its timetable and schedule of activities to extend the closing dates for the purchase of Expressions of Interest and Nomination Forms for the 2023 general elections to Friday, April 22, 2022, according to a statement released by its National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, on Thursday.
According to the publicity scribe, the deadline for submitting already completed forms has been extended to Monday, April 25, 2022, under the revised timetable.
As a result, the screening of candidates for the State House of Assembly, National Assembly, and Governorship will take place on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, and Thursday, April 28, 2022, respectively.
He also said that presidential hopefuls will be screened on Friday, April 29, 2022, and that all screening appeals will be heard on Monday, May 2, 2022.
The statement stated in part, "Under the modified timetable, the 3-man Ad Hoc Ward Congress has been fixed for Saturday, April 30, 2022, while the Local Government Area National Delegates Congresses will now take place on Thursday, May 5, 2022," the statement stated in part.
All dates for primary elections for various positions remain the same.
“Please note that all duly completed State Assembly Forms are to be submitted at the various State Secretariats of the Party”.
The PDP urged all aspirants, critical stakeholders and party members to be guided accordingly.
