This incident caused pandemonium in Ezere, Abia State on Sunday 16 December, 2018, as  Ejike committed suicide in an unusual manner.

Report has it that, before Ejike took his own life, he  had macheted his wife severally, leaving her with serious  injuries before the wife got rescued by some people.

It was gathered that the wife was rescued by some residents of the area and rushed to the hospital. However, sensing that she might die, the husband ran into his car and set himself ablaze.
