Another member of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, Kwara State chapter, identified as Dabe, has been assassinated by unknown assailants.
Dabe, a vigilante member, was allegedly assassinated by unknown gunmen on Tuesday night at Kanbi town on Ilorin-Jebba highway, Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State.
He was the second victim of assassins’ bullet in two weeks, an insider in the association informed DAILY POST on Wednesday in Ilorin.
Recall that the Chairman of the Cattle Breeders Association, Idris Abubakar, was shot dead last Saturday at the front of his residence at Oke-Ose, in Oke-Oyi town, Ilorin East Local Government Area of the state by unknown gunmen at about 10 pm.
Tuesday’s killing at Kanbi, brings to five the number of members of the association so far allegedly murdered for collaborating with security agencies and vigilantes to stamp out criminal elements and criminalities in the group.
Secretary of the Miyetti Allah Association, Azeez Mohammed while reacting to the murder of Idris Abubakar, had lamented that Fulani cattle breeders have now become targets of assassins and criminal elements.
Efforts to reach the spokesperson of the police command, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, on the Tuesday’s incident proved abortive.
Meanwhile, a manhunt has been launched by the state police command for the masterminds of the murder of the late chairman of the Cattle Breeders Association, Idris Abubakar.
