One of the APC local government campaign directors at the local government level in Rivers State has been killed.

The campaign director for Ahoada West was reportedly kidnapped earlier in the build-up to Saturday’s governorship and house of assembly elections.

The politician was discovered in a pool of his own blood on Saturday evening, his body riddled with bullets. The state police command had not issued an official statement on the incident, as at the time of this report.

A graphic video of the deceased lying in a pool of his own blood was posted on Twitter with the caption;

"Tonye Cole Campaign DG of Ahoada West who was whisked away from a polling unit earlier today has been found dead."
