Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, has mocked the immediate past National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Abdullahi Adamu.

Sani said Adamu’s sojourn as APC’s National Chairman showed that he would follow the path of his predecessors.

He said from the moment Adamu announced former Senate President Ahmad Lawan as APC’s consensus presidential candidate to when he was boycotted in the presentation of principal officers of the National Assembly, it showed that he would tread the wrong path.

Tweeting, Sani wrote: “From the moment he announced Lawan as the ruling party’s consensus candidate and was left stranded by Buhari, to the moment he was kept in the dark on the approved list of principal officers of the National Assembly, I knew that Adamu would thread the path of Adams.”

There are speculations that the crisis rocking the APC has reached its peak, with the Deputy National Organising Secretary of the party, Nze Duru, confirming Adamu’s resignation.

Duru also disclosed that the party’s Deputy National Chairman, North, Abubakar Kyari, took over as the acting National Chairman in line with the constitution of the party.
