It is no longer news that the ruling All Progressive's Congress last Saturday held their Lagos State presidential rally, and in the course of the event they played the popular song by Fela Kuti tagged "Eko Ile" that is " Lagos is home".

The song was used to welcome the presidential candidate of the party who is the Lagos State political godfather.

However, the Fela family has accused the party and presidential cnadidate of copyright theft because they didn't seek for permission to use the song.

The family writes:

We the Administrators of The ESTATE OF Fela Anikulapo-Kuti ISSUE THIS DISCLAIMER. WE wish to state here for clarity, that the permission of the Estate was not sought for the use of Fela’s music ‘Eko ile’.
