In a significant development, the police have apprehended the alleged mastermind behind the tragic killing of passengers on the Abuja-Kaduna train.

The individual identified as Ibrahim Abdullahi, widely known as Mandi, has been taken into custody. This revelation was made by the Police Public Relations Officer in Kaduna, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, during a press briefing on Thursday.

It has been disclosed that Abdullahi, aka Mandi, was also involved in the abduction of students from Greenfield University in 2021. This underscores the gravity of his criminal activities and the threat he posed to public safety.

Moreover, the police have seized 48 AK-47 rifles during Abdullahi's arrest, signaling a major breakthrough in the investigation.

Efforts are now underway to ascertain the identity of his sponsors and the source of weapons used in these heinous acts.
