It was reported that the Roman pontiff and the head of the Roman Catholic church, pope Francis the first yesterday accepted the retirement of cardinal John Onaiyekan as the archbishop of abuja Catholic archdiocese.
Onaiyekan was born in the year 1944 and became was elected the archbishop of abuja in the year 1994. He was later made the cardinal of the holy see in the year 2012 and has since served the Roman Catholic church diligently.
