As a result of the coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria which has necessitated many states in the country to take preventative measurement of which Kastina state is not excluded by banning religious and social gathering in the state.
This did not go well with some Muslims youth who aggressively protested in Kusada town in Katsina State of which they burnt down a Police station as well as seven cars, two motorcycles and a generator all parked in front of the station.
Preliminary investigation by a reputable news agency revealed that the youths were protesting that Police prevented them from observing their prayers on Friday in compliance with the the state government directive on checking the spread of COVID-19.
It will be recalled that the Governor of a neighboring state (Kaduna) was tested positive of the virus yesterday.
However, a dusk- to -dawn curfew has been imposed on the town while arrests have been made by the Police.
