On September 11, 2024, the Federal High Court in Abuja granted bail to ten protesters accused of intimidating the administration of President Bola Tinubu by allegedly attacking government infrastructure during the #EndBadGovernance protest.
Justice Emeka Nwite, presiding over the case, set the bail amount at ₦10 million for each defendant, totaling ₦100 million.
The protesters, including Michael Tobiloba Adaramoye, were charged on September 2, 2024, with offences related to their participation in the nationwide protest. During the court proceedings, the defense successfully argued for bail, which was granted along with the condition that each defendant must present a surety.
According to Justice Nwite's ruling, each surety must own landed property in Abuja and provide the court with valid documents of ownership. The judge emphasized that both the bail sum and the sureties' qualifications must be met before the defendants are released.
