The protesters, including Michael Tobiloba Adaramoye, were charged on September 2, 2024, with offences related to their participation in the nationwide protest. According to Justice Nwite's ruling, each surety must own landed property in Abuja and provide the court with valid documents of ownership. The judge emphasized that both the bail sum and the sureties' qualifications must be met before the defendants are released.
