The National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Felix Morka, has raised alarm over alleged death threats targeting him and his family.
The threats reportedly stem from remarks he made about Peter Obi, the Labour Party's presidential candidate, during a Sunday interview on Arise Television.
Morka claims that Peter Obi misinterpreted his comments as a personal threat, leading to significant backlash. Speaking in a follow-up interview on Arise News on Wednesday, Morka disclosed that he has received over 400 threats, with 200 being explicit death threats.
"Peter Obi's false accusation that I threatened his life has had serious consequences," Morka revealed. "Iāve documented 400 threats so far, including 200 clear death threats. These threats are detailed, written accounts that I plan to present to law enforcement."
The APC spokesperson described the threats as disturbingly graphic, with messages outlining plans to harm him and his family.
"These threats include chilling details, such as plans to shoot, behead, and commit other violent acts against me. This is not idle talkāthese are explicit, targeted threats, extending to some of my family members," Morka added.
The matter has sparked widespread concern, with many calling for swift action to address the alarming escalation of political tensions.
