After the outcome of the 2023 presidential election, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Campaign Council, PCC spokesperson, Dino Melaye, stated that the party would not give up on its pursuit of justice.
Melaye, who also served as the PDP's agent for collating results for the presidential election, accused Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, of rigging the election.
Melaye had organized a walkout at the national collection center with the help of eight other party agents, including the Labour Party.
He alleged that the All Progressives Congress (APC) had used INEC to conduct widespread thumbprinting at various polling places while pointing out that the BVAS was not utilized in various locations during the elections.
The electoral umpire's failure to upload results to its server since the completion of the election on Saturday was another complaint he made.
The PDP chieftain, in a tweet on Wednesday, said the party must get justice, calling on supporters to be calm and maintain peace.
“A clarion call on all of Atiku’s supporters all over the world not to be perturbed. Weeping may tarry till night, but joy cometh in the morning,” he wrote.
“This grave injustice shall not stand." "The battle to retrieve our stolen mandate is a battle of no retreat, no surrender.”
