It's from one sad story to another, from one fire outbreak to another, people losing thier lives and properties due to some ugly fire incidents. This is not the first neither is it the second news of fire outbreak in a major market in a space of few months.
Reports reaching our desk now is that there is an ongoing fire outbreak now in the popular balogun market Lagos state. This is coming few months after the fire incidents in ochanja market Onitsha and some other markets in the southern Nigeria. According to reports, the men of the fire service are yet to come to the rescue of the traders. People are running helter skelter, some are running to save thier lives while some are crying for thier goods worth millions of naira which is being destroyed by the fire. There is no report yet from the Lagos state government on the incident but we believe help will soon come to the scene in order to put out the fire to avoid further damages.
