A five-story building in Lagos' Balogun Market had a portion of it destroyed by fire on Tuesday.



Millions of naira's worth of property were destroyed by the fire, which broke out early on Tuesday.

The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service confirmed the incident and stated that the fire was under control in a statement that was signed by Director Adeseye Margaret.

The statement said, “Fire at Balogun is under control.
“The fire is however under control as mitigation is underway to limit its spread. An update will follow as the situation unfolds.”
